Makeup is symbolical of outward
expressions of character; therefore, it is necessary to give a precise
portrayal of the intended impersonation by changing the facial lines or nature.
The facial lines disclose to the eyes of the keen observer the character inherent
in us. This fact in itself explains best what “makeup” really is- its intention and purpose. Here are some
different types of makeup and what their uses are:
FACE MAKEUP
The three most basic kinds of face makeup are concealer, foundation, and powder. The purpose of concealer is from its root word to conceal blemishes such as pimples or scars. It is the piece of makeup that put it first then next is the foundation, also known as base. A kind of makeup that is applied to the face to smooth out the complexion, cover flaws and blemishes, and create an even skin tone to make the face looks uniform. The last but not the least is the powder, which soften up the foundation you put on and make the face look more natural and simply pretty.
EYE MAKEUP
There are also three basic types of
eye makeup just there were of face makeup, the following are: eyeliner, eyeshadow, and mascara. Eyeliner is often used in conjunction
with eye shadow, to define the eyes. It is great for enhancing the shape of
your eyes and it comes in numerous different colors. But black and brown are
usually for daily use and is applied usually by an eyeliner pencil around the
rim of the eyes. Other colors used typically for a more dramatic effect that
wear mostly by an actors, actresses, and models. Eyeshadow is a type of makeup that is applied to the eyelids and
under eyebrows to make the eyes more attractive and give more attention to
them. It has the most colors available that depends on the color of your eye on
applying this. It is also used to complement the eye color and to create depth
and dimension, typically made from mica and some type of powder. Mica is
an example of sheet silicate minerals that can be employed in a number of
different applications. For different color of eyes: brown eyes, blues, grays, and plums are perfectly the best. For green eyes, pinks, mauves, and brownish
pinks work best. For blue eyes,
browns and taupe will help your blue eyes really pop. And mascara is the third basic component for eye makeup that is applied
to the eyelashes to make them appear longer, thicker, darker, and fuller.
Typically used in one color (black), other colors are also available but like
eyeliner, other colors can be utilized for a dramatic effect that enhances the
appearance of the user.
LIP MAKEUP
The two
basic components to makeup for your lips are—lipstick and lipliner.
Lipstick is one of the most common types of makeup that add texture and color
to your lips. It is commonly worn by women, but not exclusively. Also, male used lipstick particularly in the
theater especially an actors and male models, and is known as “manstick.” It’s up to you which you
apply first. It does matter, however, that the two blend well. For instance,
red is always a favorite color when you want to draw attention to your lips;
light pinks usually go with every skin tone, especially in the summer and;
browns and neutrals also work well depending upon the user. But if you are not
contented, try a few different colors on your lips to which you like better.
